The first recordings from Soundscape Røst – Season 2

1.

Puffins nesting inbetween rocks at “hyttebukta”, Hernyken, Røst. I think you can hear a Puffin chick  at one point and you will also be able to hear a sound-picture of the overall soundscape. An inbetween recording. Partly inside nest, partly soundscape. I am fascinated equally by the general and the specific and it´s always exciting to try and find a balance.

2.

A soundscape below Johannes ura, Hernyken Røst. I am sitting on a rocky shore watching out for Common Guillemots, Razor Bills and Shags. They are passing over me throughout the recording and a flock of Common Eiders are slowely approaching.
